Had I the heaven's embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light;

I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

W. B. Yeats

Trodden Dreams is a production company founded and directed by Jos Baker alongside Inês Carijó as choreographic assistant and rehearsal director.

The vision and mission of Trodden Dreams can be summarised as: to do ordinary things in extraordinary ways. Our aim is to take subject matter from our everyday existence, the micro- tragedies and comedies of life; and to represent them in highly researched and specific movement language.

This is rooted in a strong belief that our bodies are each powerful and unique story machines, that we carry narrative and meaning in everything that we do. That with enough hard work and attention to detail we can take extraordinary and unique bodies and use them to speak of things that are relatable to a wide audience. Without dumbing down the movement research that got us there.
