We are honoured to have been nominated for Outstanding Medium Venue Production in the 22nd Hong Kong Dance Awards for 'Double Bubble' , a mixed-bill comprised of 'The Smallest little thing' and 'Put Out the Flame'. Both pieces were created by Trodden Dreams, under the direction of Jos Baker and choreographic assistance by Inês Carijó. Created in collaboration and performed by Juliana Zhu and Jimmy Suen (The Smallest Little Thing) and MW Dance Theater/ Mao Wei and Tracy Wong (Put Out the Flame).

This production was commissioned by Hong Kong Arts Festival 香港藝術節 and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Contemporary Dance Series.

In view of the continuing uncertainty and risk of infection caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 22nd Hong Kong Dance Awards Presentation Ceremony will be changed from a public event to a closed-door, invitation-only event with live-streaming on social media platforms for free viewing. To avoid a large gathering, only the shortlisted nominees and other related parties will be invited to attend in person.

 Details:

Date: 18 July 2020 (Sat)

Venue: Auditorium, Kwai Tsing Theatre (By invitation only)

Time: 8pm (Live streaming)

Live-streaming channels: HKDA Facebook Page & HKDA YouTube Channel

A final ballot will be conducted in March to decide the Awards with an expanded jury including all members of the HKDA Executive Committee.
